AI document automation
Draft, structure and quality-check construction documents in a fraction of the time, with your standards baked in.

We help UK contractors and consultants with 1 to 50 staff cut the admin out of delivery, wherever they are in the UK. Document automation, site reporting and workflow automation, built by people who have run projects, not by generic software consultants.

How we work
We start on your ground, not ours. We map where the hours and errors actually go across bids, site reporting and admin, and agree where AI genuinely pays off.
We automate the highest-return work first and prove it on real projects, with your people in control and your standards encoded, before we expand.
We hand over documented, maintainable systems and train your teams so adoption sticks long after we leave, rather than fading back to old habits.

Your site team already writes the diary. They just do it in WhatsApp. Construction Metric captures those messages, photos and voice notes and turns them into a structured daily site diary and a searchable project record, with no new app to learn.

AI Metric works with UK contractors, specialist subcontractors and construction consultants with 1 to 50 staff, anywhere in the UK, working remotely. We start with the one workflow costing you the most time, such as reports, site diaries, tender reviews or take-offs, build it into the software you already use, and measure the hours before and after. The first step is a paid discovery and AI implementation workshop, £1,500, taken off the build price if you go ahead; base builds start at £2,950. The founder, Chris M., has spent more than twenty years in Tier 1 construction delivery.
No. Our registered office is in Liverpool, but we work with construction firms anywhere in the UK. The work happens remotely, on Teams calls and inside your own systems, so where you are does not change how we work.
We come from twenty years in Tier 1 construction delivery, including commercial management, not from software. We understand tenders, take-off, RAMS, CDEs, RFIs and site reporting, so we automate the work that actually costs you time rather than selling generic tooling.
Yes. We automate the mechanical parts of estimating: reading tender packs and flagging the clauses that carry cost or risk, structuring measured quantities into a bill to NRM2 work sections, and pricing it from your own rate library. We also build our own take-off software, Metric Takeoff, which is in private beta with invited teams, so we know where automated take-off goes wrong and how to keep every quantity checkable.
Almost never. We make the tools you already own, such as SharePoint and Microsoft 365, work properly, and automate the flow between them. We only recommend change where a tool is genuinely holding you back.
Yes. We build golden thread records that keep building information current with a record of who changed what, check subcontractor CIS status, insurances and accreditations before they start, and draft survey reports in RICS formats for your RICS member to sign. Data and AI processing can be kept in the UK or EU.
Microsoft 365 today: Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive and Outlook. Your templates stay in Word and Excel, files come from and go back to SharePoint, and sign-in can use your Microsoft accounts. Other systems are looked at case by case in the workshop.
Yes. Board-level briefings and a company-wide AI roadmap, written by someone who has run construction projects, so the plan starts with the work that costs your business the most time rather than with the tools.
Yes. We design everything we build so your data stays in your environment and is never used to train public models. A named person stays in control of every output.
The workshop sets AI up on your highest-return workflow with your team straight away. A base build goes live on real work in about six weeks, and we measure the hours it saves before anything else is built.
Book a call and we will talk through where AI can save your teams real time, with no jargon and no obligation.
